Graduate Program Overview "The leader has to be practical and a realist, yet must talk the language of the visionary and the idealist." -Eric Hoffer
Leadership and communication are the most vital dynamics for an organization's success. The Master of Arts in Strategic Communication (MASC) at Seton Hall University is currently one of the nation's foremost graduate communication programs in providing practical and challenging education in these essential areas.
The MASC program, formerly called the M.A. in Corporate and Public Communication, has achieved its reputation rightfully. Our faculty members blend educational accomplishment with extensive organizational leadership experience.
Augmented by a stellar adjunct and visiting staff, they make the Seton Hall learning experience a place that exemplifies excellence in every regard.
The unique program provides students a rigorous course of study offering insight and practical strategies for success in all corporate, government, private and non-profit sectors and mastery of the highly desired communication and leadership skills needed by organizations. Students will also gain exposure to the issues, challenges and opportunities in the areas of business, healthcare, education, international relations and other related areas as part of the richness of Seton Hall's Graduate experience.
The MASC is an academically challenging curriculum that requires students to think creatively, use state-of-the-art technology, and develop leadership and communication skills in a dynamic, small classroom environment. Each student’s program is developed with an academic adviser to meet and often exceed individual and professional goals.
Courses are offered evenings and weekends to accommodate both full-time and part-time students.
The MASC offers what employers want. Our students graduate from our program knowing with confidence that they have enhanced their communication, leadership, teaming and critical thinking skills and will be a valuable asset to the organizations they choose to join.
