Admissions

In addition to the general University requirements for admission, the department strongly recommends an interview or comparable correspondence with the department chair to determine the educational objectives of the student.

Qualified students with proof of a bachelor's degree may take up to 12 credits prior to applying for matriculation status in the degree program.

Normally, applications should be made by July 1 for the fall semester and November 1 for the spring semester, although they are accepted year-round.

Please call (973) 761-9430 or send an e-mail to artsci@shu.edu  to obtain an application packet. Prospective students may also apply online or download a print application.

  • Abigail Lashomb
  • It's understandable why Abigail LaShomb is passionate about her research on how HIV and AIDS are associated with brain damage and memory function. What's harder to identify with is her fondness for the 69 albino rats that make her research possible.
