Museum Internships
All students are required to complete a 200-hour internship as part of there coursework. Internships provide supervised practical experience leaning in a museum or at a historic site. Students find internship placements which fit their educational and professional goals. Additionally, students are required to register for the 3-credit Internship course, though course registration does not have to occur at the same time as the actual internship. In the course, students will discuss their various experiences as interns, as well as take part in activities such as resume critiques, cover-letter review, and interview techniques.

Institute of Museum Ethics
The Museum Professions Program is affiliated with Seton Hall University's Institute of Museum Ethics (IME). Founded in 2007 with a grant from the Institute of Museum and Library Services, the IME promotes accountability, transparency, and social responsibility in the museum. It offers students opportunities for ethics research and conference or thesis related travel.
