Graduate Program Overview The Ph.D. program in Molecular Bioscience, located in the College of Arts and Sciences, focuses on advanced training in modern life science disciplines including genetics, cell and developmental biology, biochemistry, microbiology, physiology, pharmacology, molecular ecology, and immunology.
The program provides students with a strong foundation in both research and teaching. Graduate training is based on course work, scientific presentation, intellectual and collaborative interaction, responsible conduct of research, and dissertation research. These training strategies build the doctoral students’ intellectual abilities and prepare them to competitively pursue independent research careers in academe, industry, or government.
