The Department of Chemistry and Biochemistry is strongly committed to collaborative research with other institutions, particularly the local chemical industry in northern New Jersey. Research opportunities are available in analytical, inorganic, organic, physical and computational chemistry as well as in biochemistry. The University’s location affords students unique opportunities for interaction with a multitude of chemical-related industries.
Seton Hall has recently completed a comprehensive $35 million upgrade of McNulty Hall, home of The Department of Chemistry and Biochemistry. In addition to state-of-the-art research and teaching laboratories, the Science and Technology Center will encompass among the most innovative and energy-efficient teaching and research facilities in the country. With its flexible labs, glass walls and “green” approach, this landmark building will significantly enhance existing and future education and discovery within the Department of Chemistry and Biochemistry.
