English as a Second Language (ESL)
Seton Hall also offers a comprehensive English as a Second Language (ESL) Institute which is perfect for students looking to improve their English before they begin a degree program or just to develop better speaking, listening, reading and writing skills. Special emphasis is placed on university preparation: written expression, TOEFL preparation, vocabulary expansion, comprehension and speaking skills. The Institute also provides the opportunity to learn about American culture and organizes cultural events and activities such as trips to the Statue of Liberty, Wall Street, local museums, etc.
Course levels range from beginner to advanced, and all classes are small with an average of 12 students to ensure a lot of personal attention and rapid development. You can print the application form for ESL or learn more about the program and application process by visiting the ESL Web site.
