Seton Hall welcomes applications each year from qualified students who have completed 24 or more college credits. These 24 credits must be college level and do not include any developmental or ESL coursework.
In general, Seton Hall admits students who have maintained a cumulative GPA of above 2.5 (on a 4.0 scale) at an accredited institution of higher learning. (Math and science majors should have maintained a 2.75 GPA.)
In some instances, students with a cumulative GPA of less than 2.5 can be admitted based on the strength of additional supporting documentation, i.e., essay, recommendations, interview, etc.
Students who have earned less than 24 credits will be evaluated for admission based on a combination of performance at the post-secondary level, high school record and standardized test scores.
Seton Hall University policy states that any student who has previously applied for and been denied admission to Seton Hall, cannot reapply for admission for a one-year period as either a matriculated or non-matriculated student. University policy also does not permit admission to any student who has been put on probation or dismissed for any reason from another institution for a one-year period following the probation/dismissal ruling.
