Students taking 12 to 18 credit hours per semester will be charged a flat rate which includes tuition and standard fees, while students who register for fewer than 12 hours will be charged at a per credit rate.

Students who live on campus must purchase one of the meal plans (I-VI) indicated above. These plans represent a combination of a number of meals per week and a pool of flexible spending funds, called Pirate Bucks, that are placed on an account for the student and can be used like a debit card at all of the dining facilities on campus, but not in the University Bookstore.
Any Pirate Bucks left over at the end of the fall semester will carry over to the spring semester, provided the student purchases a spring meal plan. Unused funds left over at the end of the spring semester are non refundable. If all Pirate Bucks are used before the end of the semester, money can be added to a Pirate's Gold flexible spending account that can be used to purchase meals and/or items in the University Bookstore, as well as other campus vending outlets.
Commuters may purchase any meal plan or may want to consider a Seton Hall University Pirate's Gold flexible spending account. Further information about meal plans and dining options will be provided at orientation.
