How Do I Use the Estimator?
Additional Notes Approximately 90 percent of students receive some form of financial aid and a wide range of merit-based scholarships are available. For the 2006-2007 academic year, 72 percent of the incoming freshman class received a merit scholarship. Students who graduate with a high school GPA of at least 3.5 (out of 4.0) and an combined SAT score greater than 1400 automatically receive a tuition and fee scholarship. This merit scholarship is not included in the financial aid estimate. Work hard and your financial aid package may be even better than we estimate here. The estimates provided are based on 2007-08 financial aid packages. Financial aid may not be funded at the same levels for the 2008-09 academic year. You must apply for financial aid by the March 1, 2008 priority deadline in order to receive aid for the 2008-09 academic year. The calculator figure does not take into account any liquid assets, including cash, saving, checking accounts, investments, untaxed benefits, tax-deferred or untaxed income. Your actual financial aid eligibility will be determined by subtracting the your expected family contribution from the cost of attendance. Seton Hall will estimate your eligibility annually. Your expected family contribution will be calculated by the U.S. Department of Education upon completion of a Free Application for Federal Student Aid. |
