About the Institute Launch
The Center for Catholic Studies at Seton Hall University, proudly announced the launch of the Bernard J. Lonergan Institute on November 16, 2006. The Institute is under the direction of Monsignor Richard M. Liddy.

Emmett Doerr Chair of Theology, Marquette University
Robert Doran specializes in the philosophy and theology of Bernard Lonergan. He is general editor of The Collected Works of Bernard Lonergan (University of Toronto Press) and co-founded the Lonergan Research Institute, Toronto. He holds a Master's degree in philosophy from St. Louis University and a Ph.D. in theology from Marquette University.
Richard Liddy
Director, Center for Catholic Studies University Professor of Catholic Thought and Culture Monsignor Liddy is the author of Transforming Light: Intellectual Conversion in the Early Lonergan, published in 1993. His newest book, Startling Strangeness: Reading Lonergan’s Insight, focuses on his own encounter with Lonergan as his student in Rome, Italy, in the 1960s. He received his Ph.D. from Gregorian University, Rome.
