What is important to you? At Seton Hall, service to those in need is at the very core of who we are. Be one of 750 students, alumni, and employees in serving organizations in our surrounding communities. Use this day of service as the first step in your journey of servant leadership. Projects include painting, landscaping, park clean-ups and working at food banks.

Please note that SHU 500+is limited to 750 participants.

Opening Ceremony: Prayers and Words of Encouragement, Gospel Choir Performs
10:45 a.m. Volunteers Bused to Various Sites throughout Essex and Union Counties

Volunteering for SHU 500+

SHU 500+ was founded in 1997 by Housing and Residence Life and DOVE to promote community involvement in the spirit of service. Originally designed to provide 500 volunteers with an experience of selfless giving, SHU 500+, now in its 12th year, has grown to more than 750 volunteers.
