Trina Padilla de Sanz’s papers are donated to Seton Hall

The Seton Hall University Joseph A. Unanue Latino Institute
has received a donation of documents by Trina Padilla de Sanz
(1864-1957) -- a Puerto Rican poet, suffragist, and composer. Her
lifetime spanned over several of the most defining moments of Puerto
Rico's history, all collected in her writings and correspondence with
some of the most influential people in Puerto Rico and Latin America.
Trina Padilla de Sanz was credited with being one of the most prominent
figures in the cultural and literary milieu until her death in
1957.
This event takes place on Monday, October 6, 2008, from 6:00 PM to 8:00
PM at the Instituto Cervantes New York, 211 East 49th Street (between
2nd and 3rd Avenue), New York, NY - Tel. (212) 308-7720. Parking
available at a garage directly across Instituto Cervantes New York.
