Election Day 2006 brought a sea of change in Congress, and New
Jersey was home to one of the most important, hotly-contested Senate
races in the nation.
As the closely watched New Jersey Senate race turned national
attention to the Garden State, Seton Hall’s Joseph Marbach, Acting Dean
of the College of Arts & Sciences and professor of political
science, provided in-depth analysis of the election and the candidates
to major media outlets. On Election Day, Marbach was interviewed by
WBGO-FM, WNBC-TV, WCBS-AM, WOR-AM,
Star-Ledger,
Asbury Park Press and
Associated Press
Marbach is also frequently called upon by WCBS-TV, New
York Times, and USA Today, to name just
a few, for his expert opinion.
In addition to his analysis of the election, Marbach also frequently
comments on the general state of New Jersey politics and government. In
September, the New York Times New Jersey
section published an Op Ed titled
"The Not-So-Special Session" by Marbach on Governor Jon Corzine’s
call for a special session of the Legislature.
