Curtis Reads for Poetry-in-the-Round

Poetry-in-the-Round ends the fall season with renowned fiction
writer Rebecca Curtis. Her new book, Twenty Grand and Other Tales
of Love & Money includes 14 stories of beautifully composed
and compelling tales of realism. Come witness the talented Rebecca
Curtis on November 6 at 7 p.m. in Jubilee Hall, Auditorium.
Curtis earned her M.A. in English from New York University and her
M.F.A. in fiction from Syracuse University. Her pieces have
appeared in The New Yorker, Harper’s, Harper’s
Bazaar, McSweeney’s, Conjunctions, Open
City and Jane Magazine. Her short stories have been
performed by New York’s Symphony Space series and Chicago’s “Stories on
Stage” series.
Curtis is also the recipient of a Rona Jaffe Foundation Award and a
Saltonstall Grant. She has taught writing in the M.F.A. programs at St.
Mary’s College of California and at the University of Kansas. She
currently teaches in the writing program at Columbia University.
